Premarket Gappers Nov. 2: INO, CLRO and EVGO Jump Before the Bell

Key takeaways

  • In premarket data as of about 8:10 AM ET Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) was up 255.25%, ClearOne (CLRO) up 78.01% and EVgo (EVGO) up 44.44%.
  • Inovio jumped after the FDA granted accelerated approval to Voceryq, its DNA medicine for a rare airway disease.
  • Deal news drove two other gappers: a $2.00-per-share buyout proposal for EVgo from its controlling holder, and an $11.70-per-share cash takeover of Perion (PERI) by Affle.
  • No clear catalyst was reported for several sub-$1 names, and four of the 12 had premarket volume shown as 0.0M.

Monday's premarket gappers mix one major biotech approval, two takeover stories and a group of tiny stocks moving without fresh news. The figures below are premarket % changes against Friday's close, on premarket volume that is much thinner than regular-session trading. They come from premarket data as of about 8:10 AM ET and can change sharply before the 9:30 AM ET open.

Percent change and volume are premarket data as of about 8:10 AM ET Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, measured against Friday's close. Volume is shares traded so far in the premarket session; "0.0M" means fewer than about 50,000 shares, so those moves rest on very thin trading. Figures change quickly before the open.

What moved the stocks

Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) said after Friday's close that the FDA granted accelerated approval to Voceryq (INO-3107) for adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, a rare HPV-driven condition that causes recurring growths in the airway. It is the company's first commercial product, with ordering and shipping expected within about 60 days and a full launch targeted for the first quarter of 2027, according to Investing.com. Shares had been trading near a 52-week low of about $0.56 before the decision. Accelerated approval can depend on a confirmatory study. Rival Precigen (PGEN) fell in premarket trading on the news, Benzinga reported.

ClearOne (CLRO), a small audio and communications hardware company, extended a volatile run. No clear catalyst was reported. Recent filings show Nasdaq has decided to delist the stock for failing the $2.5 million minimum stockholders' equity rule, a decision the company is appealing (SEC filing). Quiver Quantitative pointed to renewed interest in its pending purchase of Cortigent, a deal that involves issuing new shares and raising $10 million to $15 million. Benzinga noted the stock had fallen 32% on Friday.

EVgo (EVGO), which runs a U.S. fast-charging network for electric vehicles, rose after LS Power disclosed in a Schedule 13D/A that it proposed to acquire all Class A shares it does not already own for $2.00 each in cash (Benzinga). The filing describes the offer as about a 59% premium to the Oct. 30 close of $1.26 (Yahoo Finance). LS Power holds about 56.81% of the combined voting power. The proposal is non-binding and depends on a special committee of independent directors.

Perion Network (PERI), an Israeli ad-tech company, agreed to be acquired by Affle in an all-cash deal at $11.70 per share, a 34.5% premium to Friday's close and an equity value of about $420 million (company release). A 40-day "go-shop" period runs through Dec. 11, and closing is expected in early 2027, MarketWatch reported. Gains in a stock with a fixed cash offer usually stop just below the deal price.

TAT Technologies (TATT), an aerospace parts and services provider, reported record third-quarter results: revenue rose 20.2% to $55.6 million and diluted EPS was $0.58 (PR Newswire), beating estimates per Investing.com. Premarket volume was very thin.

Moves with no clear catalyst. No clear catalyst was reported for Theriva Biologics (TOVX), INLIF (INLF), CalciMedica (CALC), Oragenics (OGEN), 22nd Century Group (XXII) or Skyline Builders Group (KAZR). Recent news exists but does not clearly explain Monday's moves. Kalkine found no announcement dated Nov. 2 for INLIF or 22nd Century. INLIF closed a $3.75 million registered direct offering on Oct. 20, and 22nd Century signed a Gopuff delivery agreement on Oct. 29. Theriva's most recent release on its news page is dated Sept. 30, and the stock last closed near $0.17 (Yahoo Finance). CalciMedica fell about 16.6% on Friday and recently disclosed its CFO's resignation (MarketBeat). Skyline Builders has a pending merger with Cove Kaz Capital Group. CALC, OGEN and KAZR, like TATT, showed premarket volume of 0.0M, so a handful of trades can set those percentages.

The leveraged ETF on the list

KORU is the Direxion Daily MSCI South Korea Bull 3X Shares, a fund that seeks 3x the daily return of an MSCI South Korea index. It is not a company. Its gain tracks a rebound in Korean stocks: the KOSPI closed up 128.34 points, or 2.24%, at 5,859.08 on Monday, according to Yonhap. Because leveraged funds reset daily, holding them for more than a day can produce returns very different from 3x the index. The SEC's investor bulletin on leveraged and inverse ETFs explains why.

Market context

U.S. stock futures pointed higher after last week's tech-led selloff. As of 5:38 AM ET, Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.84%, S&P 500 futures 0.51% and Dow futures 0.55%, according to TipRanks. Oil fell on hopes of a U.S.-Iran diplomatic deal: Brent was down 4.27% at $108.68 a barrel and WTI down 4.18% at $99.77 in the same report. The week ahead includes earnings from Apple, AMD, Palantir and Qualcomm, the Nov. 3 midterm elections and the October jobs report on Nov. 6. Bitcoin traded near $78,000 early Monday, per the market ticker on Benzinga.

Middle East risk remains in focus. Iran's IRGC Navy said two tankers exploded after hitting mines in the Strait of Hormuz, as Dawn reported. Those claims had not been independently confirmed.

Risk note

Premarket gappers are dominated by small caps and low-float stocks, and those can reverse just as quickly as they rise. Premarket volume is thin, spreads can be wide, and a gap up before the bell can fade at the open. Several of today's names trade below $1, face Nasdaq listing issues or have recently sold new shares. Moves this large can bring trading halts and sudden drops; FINRA explains how trading halts work. A big percentage gain is not a sign of company quality. This article is not investment advice.
