More people expected to shop online this holiday
Every year there seems to be one certainty, that is that more people will turn to the internet to complete Christmas shopping. This year proves no different, according to the latest holiday sales forecast, which estimates that nearly half (47%) of consumers will shop online this season, 33 percent of them from mobile devices. Visa is predicting that there will be a 2% increase in online shopping over the 2015 holiday season.
Visa is also predicting that Black Friday will become less important, it has already dropped to the 13th most important shopping day of the year as Cyber Monday becomes a bigger day in terms of sales.
